Like a snake shedding it’s skin, you shed bits of your self as the time goes on.
The more i search the more i lose myself,
With tainted palms i wipe the blood away,
In this carousel of right verses wrong,
Being in the middle takes my sanity away.
The more i search the more i hate,
The world that hides the malevolent state,
Searching for conspiracies night and day,
With a flick it takes my empathy away.
The more i search the more i lose my morale,
Prosecution is not the end of my trial,
What good would putting them behind the bars will do,
When the real corrupt is laughing at you.
The more i search the more it doesn’t make sense,
The kettle of knowledge went all in the drain,
Compassion and kindness is not in my custody,
Your eyes are empty and filled with scrutiny.
The more i search the more i lose myself,
In this banter of good and bad,
Maybe it was my fault after all,
You were meant to die with God’s accord.
